Westside Lockers&Exeter Meats

Custom butchering, curing and wild‑game processing in the San Joaquin Valley — three shops, three generations of the Anderson family, one cut sheet at a time.

The family

A meat market that outlived the fire that started it.

Warren Anderson started Westside Lockers after a meat‑market fire. His son Dick and daughter‑in‑law Donna took the shop over in 1975 and ran it for thirty years.

Their son, Richard Anderson Jr., bought the business in 2005 and has been adding to it ever since — a second Westside Lockers on 9th Avenue in Hanford in 2008, then Exeter Meats in 2015. Dick and Donna never really left: they still advise, and Donna still runs the front office in Exeter.

Everything under the parent company, Cut Um Up Inc., is still done the way a locker plant does it — whole animals, by hand, with your name on the cut sheet.

Three counters, one family, and a knife that hasn’t changed hands outside it. Cut Um Up Inc. • Tulare, Hanford & Exeter
